How long will it take for my coop to arrive?

We understand how eager you are to welcome your chickens to a new home! Currently, our lead time for all coop orders is approximately 2-4 weeks from the original date of purchase.

Once your order is ready to leave our warehouse, we will ship it via FedEx Freight, which typically takes 5-8 business days for delivery, depending on your location. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number so you can track your order. Learn more about delivery.

What is the difference between a precut and panelized kit?

Precut Kits: Our precut kits include all necessary building materials cut to precise measurements before they are delivered. Each piece is labeled, primed, and ready-to-assemble. No additional cutting is required! An illustrated manual and hardware are included for easy assembly.

What size coop do I need?

The size of the coop you need depends on the number of chickens you plan to keep. As a general rule, we recommend choosing a coop size of at least 4 square feet of space per chicken.

What is the typical assembly time for a kit?

In general our kits can be assembled by 1-2 adults in 2 days time or less, depending on the size. However, please note that assembly times may vary based on experience and skill level. If you find yourself with any questions or need assistance during the assembly process, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

What is drip edge?

Drip edge is an aluminum piece that will be installed along the roof’s edges and protects your coop from potential water damage. Properly installed drip edge contributes to the overall longevity and durability to your building.

Are Chicken Huggers’ coops predator proof?

Yes! Our coops are designed with security in mind, featuring strong wood construction and materials that help protect against common predators such as racoons, foxes, and hawks. Key features include a secure chicken door with lock and a heavy-duty metal door latch.

What is the return policy?

Due to the size and nature of our kits, unfortunately we are unable to accept any returns or exchanges on our coops. However, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase due to missing, damaged, or defective parts upon arrival, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will make every effort to resolve the issue by replacing parts or offering a suitable solution to ensure your satisfaction.

Do your coops include a warranty?

Yes! All Chicken Huggers coops are constructed with high quality LP SmartSide siding which is backed by a 50-year limited warranty.
